Aston, PA. - Brooke Tadlock scored the game winner, an unassisted shot on an open net, at the 29:31 mark to lead Wesley College (8-9) to a 4-1 win over Neumann College (7-10) in non-conference field hockey action on Monday afternoon. Danielle Vincent scored the first goal of the game for the Wolverines, converting a pass from Samantha Marconi and slipping it past Neumann's freshman goalkeeper Nicole Deludos at 15:09. Wesley's Susan Neylan increased the lead to 3-0 eight minutes into the second half on a rebound shot off of Deludos' pad. Taryn Neeman completed the Wolverines' scoring at 44:52 with an unassisted shot to the back of the net. Neumann senior Abi Bilski capitalized on a corner opportunity at the 60:37 mark, taking a pass from Amanda Biagi and firing past Wesley's goalkeeper LeAnne Hyslop to halt the wolverines' shutout. In her second collegiate start Nicole Deludos stopped three wolverine shots on net. Senior Chelsea Ward finished with 4 saves in relief for Neumann. Hyslop made two stops for Wesley. Neumann will return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 17, hosting Cabrini College at 4:30 p.m. |
